One day, as Arjun sped past, she called out, “Why do you run so much, Arjun?”
Arjun grinned, eyes shining. “Because when I run, Amma, I feel like I can fly!”
Nearby, Arjun’s science teacher overheard and chuckled. “Arjun, you’re not just running. You’re doing physics!”
Arjun stopped, curious. “Physics? But I’m just playing!”
His teacher knelt beside him. “Think about it! Your body uses the food you eat to make energy. That energy becomes movement, what scientists call kinetic energy. When you jump or sprint, you’re following Newton’s laws. When you leap, the ground pushes you up as you push down. And every time you balance after a stumble, your body is doing science!”
Arjun’s eyes widened. “Wow! But can physics make me a champion?”
His teacher smiled. “Physics explains how you move, but your heart, courage, and practice decide how far you’ll go.”Years rolled on.
Arjun never won an Olympic medal. But he became something even better...a teacher. He turned an empty, forgotten field into a playground full of children’s laughter.
One evening, Arjun’s mother stood at the edge of that playground, watching the kids run, fall, and get up again. Tears welled in her eyes. She asked softly, “You never learned to fly, did you, Arjun?”
Arjun hugged his mother gently. “Amma, I gave hundreds of children their wings.”
Moral:
When children play, energy becomes movement. Movement builds confidence. Confidence fuels dreams. Give every child a playground NOT just to discover champions, but to shape a joyful, healthier nation. India’s greatest victory begins with every child’s right to play.
